Shipping server installation on an exposed host

On Linux and the UNIX system, the Rational® ClearCase® installation includes an option to install only the shipping server software.

Follow the instructions in IBM Rational ClearCase and ClearCase MultiSite Installation and Upgrade Guide and select only the ClearCase MultiSite Shipping Server-only Installation option. Do not install Rational ClearCase on the exposed host.

On Windows, use the Rational Shipping Server installation option.
