Adding members to record type families

If you have created a record type family, you can add record types to it. These record types must include at least one of the fields common to other members of the family.

About this task

To add record types to the new record type family:

Procedure

  1. Start the Designer.
  2. Click Edit > Record Type Family Members.
  3. In the Add/Remove Record Type Family Member window, select the record type family.
  4. In the Available Record Types list, select the record types to add to the family, click Add, and then click Close.

Results

The record types are added to the Members folder of the record type family.
