Adding fields to record types

You can add fields to an existing record type in a schema.

About this task

To add a new field to a record type:

Procedure

  1. Start the Designer.
  2. Add the field to the Fields grid.
  3. Associate the new field with a form control to make the field available to Rational® ClearQuest® Client users. For more information about adding fields, see To add a form control using the Control palette.
  4. Test the schema, check in the schema, and apply the schema changes to the user database.
