Defining the default action of states

You can define the default action for a state in a record type so that it is highlighted in the list of all actions for a Rational® ClearQuest® client user.

Procedure

To define the default action for a state:

  1. Start the Designer.
  2. In the Schema Repository Explorer view, expand the Record Types folder in your schema and then double-click on a record type. The record type editor opens.
  3. Click the States tab to view the state transition matrix.
  4. In the state transition matrix, right-click the state and click Show Properties.
  5. In the Details section on the properties page, select a Default Action for the state.
