Deleting schemas or schema versions

You can delete a single version of a schema or all versions of a schema. Deleted schemas and schema versions cannot be restored.

Before you begin

Before you attempt to delete a schema or schema version, verify that both of these conditions are true:

  • The schema is not currently associated with a user database. If it is, you must first delete the user database.
  • The schema is not currently checked out. If it is, you must check it in.

Procedure

To delete a schema or schema version from the schema repository:

  1. Start the Designer.
  2. In the Schema Repository Explorer view, select the schema or schema versions that you want to delete.
  3. Right-click the selected items and click Remove.
  4. Click OK to delete the items.
