Setting the default record type

Each schema must have a default record type. This record type is used to create new records when no other record type is specified.

Procedure

To set the default record type for a schema:

  1. Start the Designer.
  2. In the Schema Repository Explorer view, expand the Record Types or Record Types - Stateless folder.
  3. Right-click on the record type to set as the default type and click Default Record Type. The icon next to the record type now includes a check mark to indicate that it is the default record type for the schema.
