Create a schema

In this exercise, you create a schema, which you will use to create a user database and a test database and will customize in other exercises.

To create a schema based on the Common schema:

1. In Rational ClearQuest Designer, click File > New Schema. Step 1 of the New Schema Wizard opens.
2. Select Common in the table of schemas. Click Next.
3. Enter my_sample_schema in the Schema Name field. Enter Sample schema for tutorial in the Comment field. Click Finish.
4. The wizard asks if you want to create a user database based on the schema. You will create a user database in another exercise, so click No.
5. The wizard asks if you want to check out the schema for editing. You will do this in other exercises when you customize the schema, so click No.
