Drill down into a chart
Rational® ClearQuest® provides a feature that lets you select an area of a displayed chart and run the query that produces the records represented by that part of the chart. This exercise shows how to drill down into the chart that you created in the Create a distribution chart exercise. If you have not completed that exercise, complete it before proceeding with this one.
To drill down into the chart that you previously created:
- In the Rational ClearQuest client workspace, expand your Personal Queries folder.
- Double-click sample chart to run the chart. Rational ClearQuest runs and displays the chart.
- Right-click the part of the chart that displays the priority 2 defects for the engineer and select Drill Down. You see a message that indicates the query criteria used to produce the results represented by that part of the chart.
- Click OK. Rational ClearQuest runs the query and displays the result set.
