Overview of charts

The exercises in this module show you how to create and work with charts. Charts provide a graphical view of query results and are a useful project management tool. Rational® ClearQuest® provides three types of charts:
  • Distribution
  • Aging
  • Trend

Distribution charts show the current status of change requests. For example, you might see how the workload is distributed across your team by running a distribution chart that shows the number of defects assigned to each developer. Aging and trend charts show historical information about change requests. For example, you might run an aging chart to see how many defects your team has resolved in each month over the past year.

  2. Run a chart
  3. Edit a chart
  4. Drill down into a chart
  5. Print a chart
  6. Export a chart as a graphics file
