Overview of state transition model

A state transition model defines the process that your team follows for moving a change request from its submitted state through to a completion state. The movement of a change request from one state to another is called a state transition. Users accomplish a state transition by performing an action. Examples of actions are Submitting, Assigning, Resolving, and Closing.
